This is the third flower I made, I made nearly 30 flowers for this arrangement. It took me so long to complete this. Here in Thailand, people use various media such as oil paint, acrylic paint or water colours for the stamping technique. I used water colour paint for this Vanda as the oil and acrylic colours aren't as good as water colours.
This is my second clay flower.The first one Paph.Parishii took so long to finish because of more flowers. So I selected this one to finish it fast and to learn the new technique for the leaves.
Gloriosa is the state flower of Tamil Nadu, also known as Senganthal Malar in Tamil. It is found in tropical Africa and Asia and are adapted to summer rainfall with a dormant dry season.
Since this is my first post, I have chosen to upload a photo of India's national flower which I made out of Clay. I usually make clay flowers with Japanese Luna Clay but for the Lotus above, I used Thai Clay only.
